Dr. Lee is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale and is the founding Director of Yale Psychological Medicine Service that oversees all consultative and collaborative psychiatry programs both at the York Street Campus and the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Lee is board-certified in psychiatry with added specialization in psychosomatic medicine. He clinical interest is in late-life neuropsychiatric syndromes related to various medico-surgical conditions. His primary research involves identification and prevention of neuropsychiatric symptoms after coronary artery bypass graft surgery among the elders (Neuropsychiatric Outcomes after Heart Surgery Study (NOAHS;NIMH R01 MH085740 PI: Lee HB). He also serves as the primary delirium expert in charge of quality assurance, training, and standardization of delirium assessment for the NIH-sponsored post-surgical delirium prevention trial, the Dexlirium Study (R01 AG033615; PI: Silverstein J)]. His other interests include epidemiology and pathophysiology of RLS. He is also a national expert on Asian-American mental health issues and is the PI of the Memory and Aging Study among Koreans in MD (MASK-MD; funding by Alzheimer's Association).
